Eco-Grief Support

Bear Collaborative is offering several GGN-Z sessions in the Comox Valley and beyond.  Designed by the internationally-renowned Good Grief Network, GGN-Z  is a 5-session weekly gathering that helps young people (aged 15-21) process and manage the complex and heavy feelings that arise when they think about the climate crisis and its impact on the world around them. We do this through deep listening, building supportive community through connective exercises, and learning valuable skills and practical tools for navigating an ever-changing world.

Contact Jay to book a GGNZ gathering for your group.

Community Housing Support

Community housing is a form of affordable housing working alongside private housing in the open market. Individuals and families share housing in a variety of ways, from official co-ops and co-housing developments to simple shared ownership or tenancy.

Jay is conducting a needs assessment for folks living in community houses across Vancouver Island.  They are interviewing community housing residents (past, present and future) to better understand their support needs and assist in the development of templated agreements for community housing residents.  The project consists of 1-1 interviews, surveys and a Community Housing Conference.  It will culminate in a report documenting the recommendations to municipal and provincial governments for a society aimed at meeting these support needs.
